Tell it to me Tuesday: Step Right Up, Don't Be Shy!

As always, this week's TITMT question was brought to us by Janet, at The Art of Getting By.

She writes:

So in an effort to play catch up and put my best blogging foot forward in 2008 I want to dedicate this week's TITMT to an AOGB, semi-annual tradition.

I want to know what links you think need to be added to my sidebar that aren't there already. This could be a brand new blog that you recently found or one that has sadly remained missing from the cavalcade of AOGB links. Oh, and if you are one of those links, speak up and let me know!

I don't have any recommendations for her, as she has just about everything covered. But I pass the question along to my readers here. What blogs, especially what surf blogs, am I missing out on? What are your favorite reads, and why?

I'm constantly updating my blogroll here. I use Bloglines, which is fantastic. Bloglines allows you to create folders for blogrolls. I publish my surf blogroll from Bloglines into the sidebar of this blog. Click here and you can see all the public blogrolls I've created, organized by folder categories such as surfing, wordnerdy, funny, etc.

When you are logged into Bloglines, you can see the number of new posts (next to the name of each blog you subscribe to) that have been published since the last time you've checked that blog through Bloglines. This is how I stay on top of new content. I usually then use Bloglines to click through to the actual blog/website (I like to read people's sites in their intended form, not stripped by the RSS reader, aka Bloglines).

If you know of any great websites I should check out, surfing or otherwise, please share!

Isn't it sad that no one seems to have any good recommendations? What is up with that? I went to go comment on your recommendation btw and I noticed you have to be a registered user. That saddens me:(

Oh, you mean registered on Metafilter? Yeah, it requires a one-time $5 fee, but it's truly worth it. I know that seems strange, but once you get used to the site and how it works, you'll see why. Lurking is always free tho!
